“Jazmine and Meagan were absolutely amazing! They provided me with helpful tools to help continue my self-identity & discovery work. I enjoyed being able to get tips, writing prompts, insights, and words of wisdom throughout the program. I was impressed with the delicacy and professionalism that both Jaz and Meagan exhibited throughout the duration of the program, especially since we sometimes discussed heavy topics…I’m so happy I decided to take this course for myself and I highly recommend participating in any of Jazmine & Meagan’s future programs/curriculum.”

-Monica Jones

“This workshop empowered, educated and helped me start to heal…[In this space] I have felt incredibly supported and cared for when navigating difficult topics such as racial privilege, pain from feeling “not enough”, racism, and feeling judged by seemingly everyone…Jazmine and Meagan are extremely compassionate, intelligent, innovative and powerful women who are creating a mixed community space for those of us who have otherwise felt isolated, alone, and left out of the conversation in America. I look forward to continuing to see the work they do and for the good medicine they have to give.”

“This program allowed for a space where I felt seen as a mixed person. It allowed me to cry and self reflect things that I have avoided all my life. This program has changed me by making a community where I know I am not alone. It has created a space where I feel like I have a voice and where I do not have to prove my worth and my experiences, and even prove my feelings…I learned how to speak my truth and embrace ALL OF ME (even though this will always be something I will constantly have to work on). I have healed some wounds of feelings alone and I believe the biggest thing I have learned is how to identify and address those wounds so they do not creep up on me when I do not expect it. Thank you for creating a space where I finally felt seen and heard. Thanks for creating a space where I can identify as truly me. Thank you for creating a space where I did not feel alone. I could keep on writing on how impacting this program was for me but overall this program was incredible and I am excited to continue to do the work and partake in more programs like this. Thank you!”

“…these women are the real deal. The program was incredibly thorough, holistic, multi-dimensional, and covered challenging topics with empathetic support. I’ve struggled in a multiracial family with opposing identity perspectives, and I’ve felt pressured and isolated for years. I’ve also felt pressured and isolated by society. In the program, I felt heard and validated for the first time, by women who get it! And their empathy isn’t limited to black-white identity issues, either. 10/10. Thank you so much!! I’m honored and thrilled to participate in this amazing community.”

-Samantha Gay

“My experience with Jazmine and Meagan in this program was profoundly healing! They helped me challenge and deconstruct society’s imposed perspectives and expectations of multiracial people, validated and normalized my biracial experiences, and provided me concrete strategies to uphold and embrace my authentic self. From day one, Meagan and Jazmine made me feel at ease by conveying unconditional love and acceptance, continually tailoring each session to meet my specific needs, and providing thoughtful insightful comments that broadened my own perspectives. Ultimately, I finished the program feeling loved and welcomed into the Mixed in America family, unlocking my confidence to live more authentically for myself, and fully embracing every part of my biracial life. Thank you both!”

“Truthfully, I can’t adequately put into words the impact that working with Meagan and Jazmine has had on my life. My mixed Guatemalan American identity has too often felt like a problem, with others getting to decide which part of me “counts.” Mixed in America has given me the language, guidance, community, and love that I needed to see my mixedness as a gift rather than a curse, to see myself as beautiful rather than blemished. For the first time in my life, I feel as though I am showing up as my full, authentic self, which has impacted parts of my life that I didn’t even realize my mixed identity had an effect on. This is – and always will be – an ongoing journey of self discovery and compassion, but I know I’m on the right path. And I’ve got backup :)”
